ANA
FELIPE, CERAMIC ARTIST
Born in Madrid in 1965. She started her artistic career at a very young
age studying drawing and painting. Her first contact with the world of ceramics
was at the age of 16 when she began her studies at the Saragossa Art School
in Spain, concluding her university studies years later at the Valencia
Ceramics School and graduating as a Higher-Level Technician in Ceramics.
She set up her first workshop in Muel, carrying out research and reproduction
studies for traditional metal reflection ceramics, which she alternated
with other more personal and more creative works such as ceramic furniture.
At the age of 25, she transferred her workshop to Vizcaya and began her
wide-ranging teaching activity, which she carried out simultaneously with
the production of creative ceramics both on demand and as unique pieces
for expositions. In 1999 she returned to Saragossa to work in a new sector,
namely the reproduction of miniature ceramic pieces. She currently alternates
this work with her post as a teacher at the Muel
Ceramics School Workshop, dependent upon the Saragossa Provincial Council.
Right from the beginning up to today, she has been continually retraining
herself artistically (masters degrees in ceramics, chalcographic engravings,
sculptures, photography, etc) and taking part in research work, teaching
and national and international exhibitions. Please read Ana's
CV for further details. There you won't find any awards. Ana decided
right from the start that the greatest prize for her artistic work was the
recognition of her achievements from working day after day, year after year.
